Auditions: Madagascar Jr.

Open to middle school-aged actors.
REGISTRATION:  Advance registration is required for this activity.  A non-refundable tuition deposit of $20 is due upon registration.  Registration may be done on-line or at the CCAC box office.  Register early, we will cut off registration when maximum enrollment has been met.
AUDITIONS:  Auditions will be August 12th from 4:30pm-7:30pm. Tenative Callbacks will be held August 16th from 4:30-7:30pm.  Auditions will determine the role each performers plays.  If the directing team cannot cast someone who has registered we will refund the tuition deposit.
PARENT MEETING:  We will have an informational meeting at the end of the first rehearsal,
REHEARSALS:  All rehearsals run from 4:30-6:30, Tuesdays and Thursdays starting September 6th, and possibly Sundays only Sept 9 & 30, Oct 14 & 28   Actors should be available from 4:30-7:30 pm every day November 4-8 for technical and dress rehearsals.
SHOW DATES:  Friday, November 9 at 7 pm, Saturday, Nov.10 at 3 pm & 7 pm, Sunday Nov. 11 at 3 pm.  
STAFF:  This show will be directed by Julie Herber of the Maryland Ensemble Theatre’s Fun Company.  The Production Manager and Assistant Director will be Lindsay Sier who is an Arts Council employee.  She can be reached at 410/848-7272 ex. 101, or
CONFLICTS:  Actors are expected to be on time and prepared for every rehearsal.  Conflicts must be turned in at auditions.  Tardiness or missing rehearsal may cause actors to be cut from scenes, musical numbers or recasting.  
COMMUNICATION:   Weekly e-mails will be sent with rehearsal updates, the coming week’s schedule, and any schedule changes.  Please check them weekly.  
CODE OF CONDUCT:   All actors and parents will be asked to sign a “code of conduct” as a pledge of behaving responsibly, practicing lines, music and choreography at home and to exhibiting a spirit of professionalism and respect for fellow cast members and production staff.  Please help us enforce these important points.  
SAFETY & KIDS:  Your child’s safety is of utmost importance to us.  However, we do not have staff to care for your child before or after rehearsals.  Do not drop them off more than 10 minutes early.  We reserve the right to assess a fee to parents who are habitually late in picking up their children.  Please be courteous in this regard!  We realize parking is very tight in the neighborhood.   After 5 pm you can park in the Barnes Bollinger parking lot behind their building which is next door to the theatre.  
TUITION:  A non-refundable tuition fee of $170 per actor (10% discount for Arts Council Members) is required for each performer, $20 of which must be paid to register. Tuition is due by September 20th.  Tuition covers most costumes and props, a cast t-shirt, two tickets to the show, and the cast party
