Featuring Bryan Beninghove and the Leister Quartet
Bryan Beninghove is a NYC/NJ based multi-instrumentalist involved in a number of exciting projects. He is the leader/composer of the critically acclaimed surf-noir project Beninghove's Hangmen, a founding member of the French gypsy ensemble Manouche Bag, and the founder/Director of RiverviewJazz.Org, a non-profit organization dedicated to building audience for the arts. He is also the founder of the Jersey City Jazz Festival, the largest jazz festival in the New York tri-state area. Beninghove has released 5 albums as a leader, co-produced one with Manouche Bag, and is a sideman on countless others. His music has been heard on Comedy Central, IFC, Bravo, and more. Bryan can often be seen around town playing with numerous music projects (jazz and beyond!).
The Leister Quartet performs a sophisticated menu of Swing, Jazz, and Blues standards mixed with original compositions. Monte Leister fronts the quartet bringing his decades of musical experience, Miles and Zion’s prodigy and passion fill out the rhythm section.
